Artist Lyndsey Dean

Lyndsey Dean is an educator and woodwind doubler currently living in Winchester, Virginia. She is a Graduate Assistant at Shenandoah Conservatory pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Woodwind Doubling. Originally from Texas, Dean has had experience maintaining a private studio and served as a band director for six years, teaching grades 6-12 in Seminole, Texas. As a performer, Lyndsey has performed at multiple conferences and festivals across the United States, including the International Music by Women Festival, the ICA Low Clarinet Fest, and the Lawrence Chamber Music Festival. She has performed with ensembles such as Opera Roanoke, Plainview Symphony Orchestra, and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals. Lyndsey also co-founds and performs regularly with Pathfinders Trio, a mixed woodwind and brass trio, and winners of the 2024 Music for a Great Space Artist Residency. Lyndsey earned her previous degrees at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (MM in Multiple Woodwinds Performance and a PBC in Clarinet Performance) and Wayland Baptist University (BM in Music Education). Her clarinet teachers have included Garrick Zoeter, Anthony Taylor, Luke Ellard, Andy Hudson, and Sandra Mosteller.
