Choosing between clarinet models isn’t always easy — especially when you haven’t had months to really get to know an instrument.
That’s why every qualifying new Copeland clarinet includes our 6-Month Fit Guarantee.
Buy the Copeland that’s right for you today. If, within six months, you decide another Copeland model would be a better fit, you can make one exchange and receive 100% of your original instrument purchase price toward the replacement Copeland.
Moving up? Simply pay the difference.
Moving down? You can do that too, but the difference is not refunded or credited.

The Details
- The Fit Guarantee provides one exchange within six months of the original purchase date.
- Your original instrument must be returned in excellent, resalable condition and pass our inspection.
- Exchanges are subject to normal inventory availability. We do not special-order or purchase instruments specifically to fulfill an exchange.
- If your preferred model isn’t available, keep playing your current Copeland. An exchange requested within the six-month period may remain pending for up to 90 additional days while you wait for normal inventory.
- The program is an exchange guarantee, not an extended trial program. Replacement instruments are not sent out simply for comparison.
- Moving to a higher-priced model requires payment of the difference in full before the replacement ships.
- Moving to a lower-priced model does not result in a refund, credit, or reduction of the original purchase price.
- Payment-plan customers may participate as long as their account is current and in good standing. The original payment plan continues unchanged, and any upgrade difference is due in full at the time of exchange.
- The replacement instrument does not begin a new approval period or Fit Guarantee. One purchase = one exchange.
- Customers are responsible for applicable exchange shipping costs.
- Customized, special-order, clearance, closeout, used, demo, or specially discounted instruments may be excluded.
What about returns?
Your normal 7-day approval period still applies. If you decide a Copeland simply isn’t right for you, it may be returned during that initial period according to our standard return policy.
After that, your purchase is final — but your 6-Month Fit Guarantee gives you the flexibility to move into another Copeland.

We want to make that decision easier.

Buy the Copeland that feels right for you today. Live with it. Rehearse with it. Perform on it. Get to know it.
If you decide within six months that another Copeland model would be a better fit, you have the option to make one exchange.
One purchase. One exchange. Six months to find your Copeland.
Your First 7 Days
Every new qualifying Copeland clarinet includes our standard 7-day approval period.
If you receive your instrument and decide that a Copeland simply isn’t right for you, you may return it during those first 7 days in accordance with our standard return policy.
After the 7-day approval period, the sale becomes final — but your 6-Month Fit Guarantee continues.
Your 6-Month Fit Guarantee
For six months from your original purchase date, you may make one exchange for another qualifying Copeland clarinet if you decide another model would be a better fit.
Maybe you purchased a Harmonia and later realize you’d prefer the response and features of a Kratos.
Maybe you purchased a Kratos and decide you’d like to move into a Kratos LX or Telos.
Or maybe you started with one model and simply discover that another Copeland better matches the way you play.
That’s exactly why we created the Fit Guarantee.

Want to move to a higher-priced model?
You can.
Your original instrument purchase price is protected toward your one qualifying exchange during the six-month Fit Guarantee period.
If your replacement Copeland has a higher retail price, simply pay the difference between the original purchase price of your instrument and the current retail price of the replacement instrument.
For example:
If you purchase a Harmonia for $2,195 and later decide you’d prefer a Kratos priced at $2,695, your original $2,195 purchase applies toward the exchange.
You simply pay the $500 difference.
Moving to a Lower-Priced Model
Sometimes the more expensive instrument isn’t necessarily the instrument that’s right for you.
If you decide that a lower-priced Copeland is a better fit, you may use your one exchange to make that change as well.
Because the Fit Guarantee protects your ability to exchange your instrument rather than providing a refund after the original approval period, no refund, cash value, payment reduction, or store credit is provided for the difference when exchanging into a lower-priced model.

What If the Copeland I Want Isn’t Available?
Keep playing yours.
Fit Guarantee exchanges are subject to normal Copeland Clarinets inventory availability.
If your preferred replacement isn’t currently available, you do not need to send your current instrument back and you don’t have to stop playing while you wait.
Contact us during your six-month eligibility period to request your exchange. If an eligible replacement isn’t currently available, your approved exchange request may remain pending for up to 90 additional days while you wait for the model to return through our normal inventory.
Copeland Clarinets is not required to manufacture, special-order, purchase, or otherwise acquire an instrument specifically to fulfill a Fit Guarantee exchange.
Your current instrument remains yours until an eligible replacement becomes available and the exchange is ready to be completed.
What If I’m Just Curious About Another Model?
That’s completely normal — and you don’t need to use your exchange just because you’re curious.
The Copeland 6-Month Fit Guarantee is an exchange program, not an extended trial program.
If you’re considering another model but aren’t ready to give up your current Copeland, contact us. We’re happy to help you understand the differences between models and determine whether making a change makes sense.
Your replacement instrument is not shipped alongside your current instrument for comparison.
Once you’re ready to make the change, you can exercise your one Fit Guarantee exchange.
How the Exchange Works
Once you’ve decided you’d like to make an exchange, contact Copeland Clarinets before returning your instrument.
We’ll confirm your eligibility and the availability of the model you’re requesting.
Your current Copeland must then be safely returned to us for inspection.
Once the instrument has been received, inspected, and approved, and any applicable price difference has been paid, your replacement instrument will be shipped.
Your replacement instrument does not begin a new Fit Guarantee or approval period.
One original purchase includes one Fit Guarantee exchange.
Instrument Condition
The purpose of the Fit Guarantee is to let you actually play your Copeland.
We expect you to rehearse with it, perform with it, practice with it, and get to know it.
However, an instrument submitted for exchange must have been properly cared for and returned in excellent, resalable condition.
Normal signs of careful use are expected.
Instruments showing damage, excessive wear, unauthorized modifications, missing components or accessories, improper care, or other conditions affecting resale value may be ineligible for exchange or may receive an adjusted exchange value.
All instruments are inspected by Copeland Clarinets before an exchange is approved.
Purchases Made on a Payment Plan
You don’t necessarily have to finish paying for your Copeland before using your Fit Guarantee.
Qualifying instruments purchased through an eligible Copeland payment plan may participate as long as the customer’s account is current and in good standing.
Your original payment plan continues exactly as agreed.
An exchange does not cancel, reduce, restart, extend, or otherwise modify your original payment obligation or payment schedule.
If you exchange into a higher-priced model, the additional price difference must be paid in full before the replacement instrument is shipped. The upgrade amount cannot be added to the existing payment plan.
If you exchange into a lower-priced model, your original payment obligation remains unchanged. No refund, reduction in remaining payments, cash value, or store credit is provided for the difference.
Third-party financing programs may be subject to additional terms or restrictions imposed by the financing provider.
Shipping
Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with a Fit Guarantee exchange unless otherwise stated by Copeland Clarinets.
The original instrument must be returned safely and received by Copeland Clarinets before a replacement instrument is shipped.
What’s Eligible?
Unless otherwise specifically stated, the Fit Guarantee applies to qualifying new Copeland clarinets purchased directly from Copeland Clarinets.
Special orders, customized instruments, clearance or closeout instruments, used instruments, Certified Pre-Owned instruments, demo instruments, and other specially discounted instruments may be excluded.
Purchases through authorized Copeland dealers are subject to the dealer’s participation in the program and may have separate terms.
Eligibility is associated with the original qualifying purchase and original purchaser and is not transferred if the instrument is subsequently sold or transferred to another person.
