The Kleio is designed especially for woodwind doublers or those with difficulty closing the keys of a “regular” open-hole clarinet. The tone holes are designed with a deeper inset and taper to offset the increased resistance of the closed keys and help maintain solid projection and remove any stuffiness in the sound. It offers a smooth response and rich tone, and provides a perfect balance of performance and price to the limited selection of Plateau clarinets on the market
