Designed for professional orchestral, wind ensemble, chamber, and solo performance, the RC Prestige offers the projection required of an E♭ clarinet while maintaining a remarkably balanced and sophisticated tonal character.

One of the defining qualities of the RC Prestige is its ease of sound production. The instrument responds freely throughout its range, helping the player maintain clarity and security without sacrificing warmth or tonal depth. Its RC acoustic concept gives the E♭ clarinet a full, resonant voice while retaining the brilliance and projection necessary for demanding repertoire.

Crafted from carefully selected African grenadilla wood, the RC Prestige is built with the same attention to materials and craftsmanship found throughout Buffet Crampon’s Prestige family. The natural wood is carefully polished, preserving its character while contributing to the instrument’s rich and responsive sound.

Professional appointments include 17 silver-plated keys and 6 rings, precision-machined steel springs, an adjustable thumb rest, and metal-capped tenons for additional reinforcement. The nickel-silver keywork is cold-forged, copper-plated, and silver-plated before being carefully assembled and regulated.

Designed for 440/442 Hz, the RC Prestige E♭ includes both 41.5mm and 42.2mm barrels, providing additional flexibility for pitch, response, and playing conditions.
