The Buffet Crampon Festival is one of the most versatile professional clarinets in the Buffet Crampon family. Introduced in 1987 and developed in collaboration with legendary clarinetists Jacques Lancelot, Guy Deplus, and Michel Arrignon, the Festival was created to meet the demands of players who need an instrument capable of adapting to an exceptionally wide range of musical settings.

Built upon the celebrated R13 bore family, the Festival retains the focused core and projection associated with the classic Buffet sound while offering a rich, powerful tonal character and exceptional flexibility. Its ability to move comfortably between orchestral, chamber, solo, and wind ensemble playing has made the Festival a long-standing favorite among professional performers, university professors, and advanced players.

The Festival responds with clarity throughout the registers while providing enough tonal depth and flexibility for the player to shape a highly personal sound. It can blend beautifully within an ensemble yet has the projection and presence necessary when the musical setting demands more.

Crafted from carefully selected African grenadilla, the Festival features professional silver-plated keywork with 18 keys and 6 rings, an E♭ lever, adjustable thumb rest, precision-machined steel springs, GT pads, and metal-capped tenons for additional reinforcement.

Available in both Bb and A, the Festival makes an excellent matched professional pair. The Bb includes 65mm and 66mm barrels, while the A includes 64mm and 65mm barrels, providing additional flexibility for response and pitch.
